A GRAND Getaway!

Yesterday morning we got a call from my Dad, telling us they had an extra room at the Grand America Hotel in downtown, SLC! We were thrilled to take the room, we didn't want them stuck with an empty room...even though we were at working til close. We closed up the store as quickly as possible, rocking it, out by 10:25... our last customers didn't leave til almost 10:15.

We got to the Grand America around 11, and found this in our room....

YES... That is a piano made out of chocolate! You do not get much better than that, except for maybe our late night room service, chicken wings and french fries at a 5 star hotel, we are crazy.

Our room was beautiful! I was a much needed quick getaway!

We had room service again for breakfast, the orange juice was HEAVENLY! and mmmmmm waffles,fresh fruit and crepes! Plus this beautiful view of city hall with all the rain!

14 Days of Valentines Continues!!!!

Not going to lie, this has been so much fun, especially because we do not get to see each other all that often. Here are the rest of my days:

Day 4:

I worked day, he worked night, So I left this sitting on his sandwich bain at work for him to see when he got there. I love Arah!

Day 5:

Best Gift I have EVER given, When I got home this night.... I was attacked. Don't worry though, I am prepared for the battle.

Does anyone know how unbelievably hard it is to find red crush? I went to probably 6 or 7 different stores and never found it. Thanks to my amazing Mom who found some one day while shopping and bought all they had(a whopping 4 cases ha ha)She brought me a 6 pack one night while I was working. My mom is the best!

Day 10:

I haven't baked in so long! I love baking, especially for my man! I thought I was just so creative writing LOVE in sprinkles.

Day 11:

The funny thing about this one is... that it was actually really hard to narrow it down to just 10! even harder because i wanted the top 10, tough stuff, but I picked out some darn good ones.

Day 12:

This will be filled with fortune cookies, I just need to take the time to either find a way to make them, being oh so domestic and creative... or venture out into the great big world to Panda Express and buy some :)

So i haven't decided yet what I am going to put with this one yet.... I know it is only a few days a way, and I am kind of a slacker. Whatever it is, It will be amazing!

Valentines Day Extravaganza!

Anyone else find themselves addicted to pinterest? i am constantly looking at the amazing things that other people come up with and create and think to myself... I'm so glad that all these people are so creative that I don't have to be. I just have to put in the effort to copy their GRAND ideas. Valentines day at our house has turned into the 14 Days of Valentines, i have had so much fun putting it all together and hiding it for Arah to find!

Day 1:

This one was so much fun, I hadn't seen Arah all day, and I had to get it ready, but he was at home and I was at work, so I text him and told him that it was absolutely necessary that he go to the grocery store to get some cereal before I got home. so when he got home from the store I had it waiting for him on the doorstep.

Day 2:

I left for my student teaching hours before Arah woke up, so he woke up with this next to his alarm clock.

Day 3:

What better way to start off a Friday than with "Love Potion #9" perfect start to a date night ha ha
