Party

Arah and I decided that although we are SUPER awesome. We are kinda lame in that we don't really see any of our old friends very often. so we decided to have a party and invite some friends over for dinner and games. It turned out to be a lot of fun, I wish we could do it more often.

We had pulled pork sandwiches and everyone brought something to share. Delicious dinner. Then we played nertz, then epically we played Just Dance 3! Here are some pictures and videos of the fun.

Mawage is what bwings us togeta today!!!!

Me and Arah are getting married in 3 days! Yup just 3 days away, That's it! This long wait is finally coming to a close. It has been so much fun with the wedding planning and dress picking and engagement pictures and bridals and cake and food choosing. I've loved it all. But I must say I am ready to have a place to sleep everynight, not trying to find rides, and have an apartment where I can start to find all my misplaced things, most of all i'm excited to cuddle every single night! I Love Arah! September 15, 2011

Love Actually!

So a couple days ago I was searching through blogs and I found this one. It is so unbelievably cute.

I feel like as I get closer to getting married(three weeks from today! woot!) The thing that I hear most is how hard marriage is and how easy it is to forget how much you love each other.

So I have been on kind of a personal quest!

There is no doubt in my mind that there will be hard times, after all every fairy tale has its twists and bumpy roads. I also know I will have to put in a lot of hard work to make sure Arah knows how much I Love Him, even during those hard times. One of our goals together, is to go on a date together once a week, no matter how simple.

So back to the blog I found, It has a ton of really great date ideas and present ideas. Everything from ideas for St. Patricks day dates to a Date of the Month Club Date Ideas. I found a lot of fun ideas that I would love to use sometime. Just thought I would share with the world!

Ta- da! Time is just flying

So I know in my last post I said that I would be participating in the 21 day challenge. Much to even my own surprise i have actually been doing it. It has not been easy, but I have been getting ready every day. If you know me, this truly is such an accomplishment. and I have been taking the challenges head on, which means i have also been planning ahead on what i have been wearing. This has been super difficult since currently I am not really living in one place. But I am doing my very best, pictures just haven't been posted quite yet, and some of them not yet taken.

I have been moving all around and spending many night sleeping on the top bunk of my nephews bunk bed. (A huge thank you to my amazing sister for letting me sneak in at all hours of the night)

With school starting in a week, my current car situation and the wedding 3 weeks away. I have kinda been in limbo with a place to live and a way to get to needed places. It has been fun though. Arah has been so sweet he has been waking up most mornings by 5:30 am and driving me to work before he heads to work. I'm glad I have so many wonderful people who care about me and drag me around with them where I need to be. I love my Mom and Dad and all my wonderful family.

But the good news is..... invitations go out this week! Not gonna lie they look fantastic! Just got to get them stuffed and address! busy few days ahead!

Matching socks?!?

Why matching socks? Well from the beginning one thing Arah and I have always had in common is that neither of us are big fans of wearing socks that go together. our sock combinations can get pretty creative, argyles, neons, stripes, polka dots. I thought I could totally go into some deeper meaning about how sometimes things that don't go together make the best match and how we are going to spend our lives together and doing laundry requires folding socks, I was going to make it so philosophical and deep....

but the simple truth is....

It's just more fun to wear socks that don't match!

Our Adventures

Amberly and I sure love to get out and explore new places. I feel like any time we are together we are up to something new or are on a new adventure. Trust me, with someone as incredible and hilarious as Amberly there is never a dull moment! But recently we were able to adventure off to one of my most favorite places on the planet. Blanding Utah. I know what you're thinking... If its not where in the heck is that, its why on Earth would that be one of his most favorite places on the planet?
Well let me tell you. Blanding may be a small, podunk town with very few residents, no street lights, not even a Walmart with an hour and a half but it is one of the most adventure filled places on the planet. You should hear the stories that my Grandfather can tell about his childhood. It puts every experience that I have ever had to shame. My Grandfather had a more exciting life by the time he was ten than I have even had in my 22 years of living. I always remember as a boy being captivated about him telling us about Corncob Hollow and all of the Indian ruins that he found as a kid. I imagine all of that excitement and love for adventure has stuck with me all growing up.
But I was so happy to be able to take Amberly along with my little sister, Morgan, down to Blanding so I could show her one of my most favorite places on the planet. On the first day we were lucky enough to head out on the ATV's and kick up some dirt. One of the best parts of that excursion was being able to find two horny toads and catch them! They are pretty awesome little guys. We wanted to bring them back to my grandpa's place so they could help with all the ants running around the outside.
We also were able to goa little treasure hunting. We were after 1950 coke bottles buried in trash piles from the large hunting camps they had back in the 50's. We were even crossing our fingers hoping that we would have the luck to find an old 1950's silver dollar. But unfortunately we only unearthed bottle caps and old wire. But it was still fun to get out and use the metal detector and have a whole time of locators, excavators and dirt sifters.
We also got to go to the brand new blanding pool and then that evening have a fantastic cook off. We got to eat some fantastic food and stuffed. Amberly and I also got some really pictures taken that we may or may not end up using for some of our engagements. They were just kind of fun to do and of course just to show everyone how me we love each other. Which is A LOT if you were wondering. But that was a quick overview of our little weekend adventure in Blanding Utah.

Our Competition

So, like every engaged couple Arah and I are on the quest to be in the best shape of our lives, with only 77 days to do it. In an attempt to do this he has stolen my Insanity work out dvd's and uses them on a daily basis(best workout ever, and it's so working). I work a lot so I fit in weights and some cardio at every chance I get.

To ensure that both of us can get in awesome shape though we have decided to have a little contest. As of yesterday we have both stopped eating sweets(cookies, ice cream, brownies, cake, etc.)and no more fast food(mcdonalds, wendy's, taco bell, any french fries). This is not going to be an easy feat! We are trying to see who can really go the longest without giving in, I will succeed. The winner is going to receive some magnificent prize as well as ultimate bragging rights. This will not be easy giving up french fries and chocolate....especially since I work at Kneaders. So if you have treats, keep them away from me. Only healthy food for my snacks!

The Proposal

After about four and a half months of dating I decided that it would be time to talk to Amberly about getting married. During the next few weeks the the usual proceedings of talking to the parents and choosing the ring took place.
On June 8th 2011 I decided that that would be the perfect day to get engaged. The 8th had been kind of a significant day for the both of us. Our first kiss and what we consider to be the day we started officially dating was on January 8th and the first time that I told Amberly that I loved her was on the 8th of May, being also her birthday.
I thought that since we were getting engaged on the 8th that it would be fun to repeat a bunch of things that we had done on dates in the past. On the night before I left three notes on Amberly's car, instructing her where she should go on her way to work, a note for her to read at lunch and lastly one note explaining that I would be there at 5:30 to pick Amberly up and for her to prepare for the most amazing night ever!
I picked her up at 5:30 and had two dozen roses waiting for her in the car. Then I went to pick up Olive Garden to go just like we had done on Valentines Day. After picking up dinner we headed up the AF Canyon and found the perfect spot where we could eat dinner and then make some dutch oven apple crisp. While their apple crisp was cooking we went to a stream to stick a Martinelli in the stream so that it would get cold. After which we went for a nice nature walk. After our nature walk they went back to check on the apple crisp and then the Martinelli.
That's where it all finally took place. As we went down to the stream to check on the Martinelli I slipped the ring into my sweatshirt pocket. As we were standing there talking I asked her if she was really ready to spend the rest of her life with me. She said she was so I said well we better make this official then. So I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. Thankfully she said YES!!!!
A funny part of the whole night was that earlier in the night Amberly's hand started to swell up a little bit and ended up being a size too small. That meant that I couldn't get the ring all the way on Amberly's finger but as I got up to hug her she jammed the ring on her finger and we had to soap her finger up later just in order to get it off.
After we got engaged we had to hurry down the canyon and start calling everyone that we knew and visit our parents.
